Mwatsveruka N. Munhutu, MD, MPH, FAAD received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Griffin Hospital a Yale University program in Derby, CT. She then moved to her specialty dermatology residency training at Howard University Hospital and the Washington DC VA Medical Center.

After residency Dr. Munhutu joined academic medicine and worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the George Washington School of Heath Sciences and at Howard University College of Medicine. She additionally worked in private practice at the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in Washington DC. She has been involved in clinical research, has been published in peer reviewed journals in dermatology, and has also authored a dermatology textbook chapter.
Her interests include medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and issues related to dermatology and global public health. Dr. Munhutu is licensed to practice medicine in the United States and in Zimbabwe. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women's Dermatologic Society and the National Association of Physicians of Zimbabwe.
